Chicago, Illinois - November 24, 2006 - Six newly remodeled BURGER KINGŪ restaurants operated by C.H. James Restaurant Holdings will host their grand re-openings beginning on November 29th - December 16th where free food, concert tickets, Samsung cell phones, iPods, and XBox games will be given away to participating guests.
Partnering with local radio stations, 107.5 FM WGCI and 92.3 FM WPWX, air personalities such as Tony Sculfield, Beyonce Foxx, Trey, "The Choklit Jok", Kendra G and "The Hot Boyz" Shag and Tone, will be on hand to distribute prizes at the following locations: Wednesday, November 29th 110 E. 95th St. Friday, December 1st 2328 S. Michigan Ave. Wednesday, December 6th 3953 W. Chicago Ave. Friday, December 8th 6900 S. Halsted St. Tuesday, December 12th 28 East 87th St. Saturday, December 16th 7222 S. Stony Island Ave.
Since the acquisition, a significant amount of money has been invested in remodeling the restaurants. Predominantly located on the south and west sides of Chicago, each location is also now a hot spot for wireless connectivity so that patrons can enjoy free Internet access inside the stores.
Additionally, the grand opening festivities will include an appearance by Whosay, one of the only African-American magicians in the Midwest as well as special performances by local high school bands and cheerleaders. A recruiting station for people to complete employment applications and meet one-on-one with hiring personnel will also be available at each restaurant.

In 2004, James joined the BURGER KING system when he acquired 37 restaurants in the Chicago area. In May 2006, these three urban stores were acquired, bringing the franchise owner's total to 40 restaurants and an additional three are managed on behalf of Burger King.
